When Your Boss Turns Into a Potato

Thanks to our new socially distant “normal,” interacting with our friends and co-workers must take place online. Fortunately, there are tons of video chat programs to bring us together.
For last Friday’s virtual Happy Hour, Lizet Ocampo downloaded several filters for the software to liven up the evening. It was all fun and games until Monday morning’s meeting with her employees.
Ocampo couldn’t figure out how to turn the feature off, leaving her to conduct the session as a cartoon potato. A colleague shared a screencap of Spud Ocampo, which went viral, racking up over 900,000 likes.
Taking it in stride, she turned it into a positive message, tweeting, “I hope folks are really taking it seriously to be safe and stay planted.”
