The “Planet Of The Apes” franchise has begun its build-up towards the release of the newest chapter in the Disney franchise. Seven years after the studio wrapped up its “Caesar trilogy,” “Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes” kicks the series back into gear on May 24, 2024.
And if the reaction to “Kingdom’s” first trailer is any indication, the new film could be in for a huge box office win. “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the huge response,” said Asad Ayaz, Disney Studio’s president of marketing about the clip that got 75 million views in its first 24 hours. The teaser also did well on social media, with 72,000 mentions in the same timespan and a top 10 trending spot on X/Twitter.
“Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes” kicks off generations after 2017’s “War For The Planet Of The Apes.” The cast includes Owen Teague, Freya Allen and Oscar-nominee William H. Macy.
