The Favorite Bands of Serial Killers

This list reminded us of the 1977 song from U.K. punk band, the Adverts.  It was about executed double-murderer Gary Gilmore, who donated his organs to science.  His corneas were used for transplants.  Here’s part of “Gary Gilmore’s Eyes“.  (It actually got them to #18 on the U.K. charts, and on “Top of the Pops”!)

1.  Jeffrey Dahmer:  Black Sabbath.

2.  John Wayne Gacy:  REO Speedwagon.  He was also into Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan.

3.  Richard “The Nightstalker” Ramirez:  AC/DC, Judas Priest, and Sabbath.

4.  Charles Manson:  The Beatles, the Mamas and the Papas, and Neil Young.  He was also friends with Beach Boy Dennis Wilson for a while.

5.  Aileen Wuornos:  10,000 Maniacs.

6.  “Son of Sam” David Berkowitz:  Hall & Oates.
