New in Theaters: “Infinity Pool” and “Fear”

1.  “Infinity Pool“  (R)  Trailer

A sci-fi horror movie about a vacationing couple who are lured away from their island resort to someplace where they’re involved in a tragic car accident . . . and told that all crimes are punishable by DEATH.

But if you’re rich enough, then you can use a clone to die in your place.

It stars Alexander Skarsgard from “True Blood” and Cleopatra Coleman from “Last Man on Earth” as the unsuspecting couple.  And Mia Goth from “X” and “Pearl” as the seductive woman who tempts them with hedonism and violence.

 

2.  “Fear“  (R)

A psychological horror movie about a group of friends who go on a getaway to a remote hotel.  One by one, they each face their own fear.  It stars Ruby Modine (“Happy Death Day”), Andrew Bachelor (“The Babysitter”), and rapper T.I.

3.  “Life Upside Down“  (PG-13)  Trailer  (Limited)

A romantic comedy about three couples stuck in their homes at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.  The cast includes Bob Odenkirk from “Better Call Saul”, Danny Huston from “Yellowstone” and Radha Mitchell from “Silent Hill”.

 

4.  “Maybe I Do“  (PG-13)  Trailer  (Limited)

Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey (“Elvis”) are thinking of getting married so they decide it’s time to meet the parents.  But as it turns out, their parents already know each other, because they’ve been cheating on their spouses for months, with each other.

It stars Susan Sarandon, Diane Keaton, Richard Gere, and William H. Macy.
