There’s a difference between what someone says and what they do, and that was on display in a Las Vegas courtroom yesterday. Deobra Delone Redden appeared in court in a case where he was arrested for allegedly attacking someone with a baseball bat. Redden asked Clark County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus for leniency, telling the judge that he was “not a rebellious person,” and is “a person who never stops trying to do the right thing no matter how hard it is.” Judge Holthus made it clear that she intended to sentence him to jail time, and Redden yelled expletives and charged forward, jumping on the judge. He’s now facing multiple new felonies, including battery on a protected person.
