The Seattle home where Kurt Cobain took his own life is up for sale for $7.5 million.
According to the listing, the 117-year-old Queen Anne-style home has been “completely updated”, featuring four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a wine cellar.
But one feature you won’t find is the greenhouse, which is where Cobain’s body was found in April of 1994. Courtney Love had the greenhouse demolished before she sold the property in 1997.
I don’t know that I could live there. Yes, the greenhouse is gone, but I think it would be too sad. I’d constantly think about it. Maybe they should make it into a grunge museum or historic site instead. I think that would be a better option; then everyone could pay tribute to him on their own terms and in their own way.
