Foo Fighters Salute Late ZZ Top Bassist in Onstage Tribute

The Foo Fighters paid tribute to late ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill during a Thursday night concert in Cincinnati.

The group, which canceled their previous night’s show in South Carolina after learning of Hill’s death, performed the ZZ Top classics “La Grange” and “Beer Drinkers and Hellraisers” before the sold-out crowd at Andrew J. Brady ICON Music Center while drummer Taylor Hawkins appeared in a T-shirt emblazoned with the words, “Dusty Hill – RIP.”

Hill, who’d performed with ZZ Top since the early 1970s, died in his sleep Wednesday night at his home in Texas. He was 72 years old.
