As kids head back to school, there is a lot to prepare for parents and for teachers. To make it easier, “Today” asked teachers what they want parents to know before kids walk into classrooms. Here are the top five:

  • You can invite your child to parent-teacher conferences
  • Got a problem? Tell the teacher (not the principal or other parents)
  • Stop calling or texting kids at school
  • They hate when you take kids out of school for planned vacations
  • Let them know what you did this summer
