Who Rocks The House? Not South Carolina.

While many across the fruited plain may claim where they live rocks, there’s only one true way to know: with hard data.

Vivid Seats crunched the numbers, looking at how many rock and metal concerts took place in a particular state since 2015, compared with the population, and came to one conclusion.

The hardest rocking state in the US is North Dakota, followed by their neighbors to the South, although Loudwire points out, “no prominent bands have actually come from the Dakota territory.”

Where do most rock and metal shows happen? That would be California, with Texas and New York rounding out the top three.

No surprise, SC didn’t make the top 20, and after looking at the graph, it looks like we’re in the bottom 10 states. NC, GA, TN and VA all rock harder than us… it’s not our fault rock shows never come to SC!
