Pearl Jam is strictly anti-violence at their concerts . . . even against people who deserve it.

A video went viral over the weekend of a show in Zurich, Switzerland last month, when Eddie Vedder stopped the show during “Animal” to have a woman ejected for smacking a guy on the back of the head. Apparently, the man had been recording the whole show, and the woman got fed up with it . . . so she hit him.  And Eddie saw the whole thing.

He said, quote,

“I know it upset you, but you can’t [effin’] hit him in the back of head either, even though you’re a woman.  I appreciate the fact that you can be strong.  Quit hitting him.  You’re out of here.  Violence is not allowed. I’m sorry ma’am, there’s no violence allowed.”
