Well, That Was Awkward…

There are few things more humiliating for a man than going in for a kiss and being rejected. Having such a moment immortalized on the Internet is one of them.

The crushing moment was experienced by an unidentified man who was attending a New Year’s Eve party that was broadcast on NPO Radio 2, a Dutch TV station. As the clock struck midnight, the camera locked in on the man as he pursed his lips and leaned into a blonde woman. But instead of reciprocating, the woman winced in disgust and jerked her head away from the man’s advancing mouth.

It didn’t take long for the would-be Casanova’s shame to extend beyond the viewers of Dutch TV. Within hours the clip had gone viral, eliciting comments like, “Easily the most awkward thing I’ve seen,” and, “I hope your 2019 starts off better than this guy’s.”

Yikes. Poor dude. The girl looks absolutely repulsed by the idea of this dude kissing her too. She didn’t even try to hide it. This is why I’m glad social media and cell phones didn’t exist when I was younger.
