Here’s your ‘Florida Man’ story for the day – an ATM robbery went wrong when the would-be thieves managed to weld the machine shut instead of cracking it open.
Police in Okaloosa County say two men tried to crack open the ATM with a blowtorch, but ended up welding it shut instead. They left the scene empty-handed and employees found the ATM the next day, with the money even more securely locked up than it was before.
Now police are looking for the suspects, who at least had the good sense to disguise themselves with scarves and sunglasses.
