Spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks: Where to Celebrate in Columbia!
As the Fourth of July approaches, it’s time to plan where to catch breathtaking fireworks displays in and around Columbia. Our favorite? Of course, Fort Jackson is open to the public and ready to celebrate with our community! Here are the top events to mark on your calendar this Independence Day:
Fort Jackson Independence Day Celebration
Date: Thursday, July 4
Cost: Free
Details: Enjoy live music by The Reggie Sullivan Band, cooling misting stations, carnival rides, a kids’ zone, and various food vendors.
Fireworks with the Phil at Segra Park
Date: Thursday, July 4
Details: Enjoy a live performance by the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra followed by a spectacular fireworks display. This event is popular and tends to sell out, so be sure to grab your ticket early.
Lexington County Peach Festival
Date: Thursday, July 4
Cost: Free
Details: This all-day festival features a car show, parade, live music, and concludes with fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
A Rockin’ Red, White & Blue
Date: Wednesday, July 3
Cost: Free
Details: Join the Town of Blythewood for a “Rockin’ Red, White & Blue” event with food from Smoke It Up BBQ, live music by the Blue Dogs, Pelican SnoBalls to keep you cool, and a fantastic fireworks display.
Independence Day Celebration at Icehouse Amphitheater
Date: Friday, June 28, 7-10 p.m.
Cost: Free
Details: The 246th Army Band will perform starting at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks show at approximately 9:20 p.m.
Born in the USA 4-Mile Run
Date: Thursday, July 4
Cost: $35
Details: Participate in a solo 4-mile race, a 4-mile 2-person relay, or a youth run. Registration is required to participate.

Fourth of July Celebration on Lake Murray

Details: Watch one of the largest fireworks displays as they launch from Spence and Dreher Islands. The best viewing spots are from a boat on Lake Murray, Dreher Island State Park, or from your home via WIS News 10.
