If you’re like most of us, you weren’t lucky enough to be in attendance at the Chris Cornell memorial tribute concert. Apparently, we missed quite the show. Perhaps you saw some cell phone shot footage, but now fans have something a bit better.
Released on the late singer’s Instagram is a clip of Dave Grohl taking the mic for a cover of “Show Me How To Live” from Audioslave with former members of the band and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo backing.
Whether or not a bigger official release is still to come isn’t known, but it’s good to know that higher quality video exists. I hope that they release the whole concert. It would have been amazing to have been there, but seeing it on HBO or Netflix would work for me.
A documentary about Cornell was recently revealed to be in the works with Brad Pitt and director Peter Berg helming the project alongside Cornell’s widow Vicky, who is producing. I’m looking forward to seeing this. I’m sure it will be sad, but I have a feeling it will be worth watching.
