SURPRISE! Women love beer, especially craft beer. I’m one of them. I love craft beer. 10 years ago, I couldn’t stand anything besides an occasional Miller Light. Now, I’m drinking beers of all ABVs and colors. I used to be afraid of a beer darker than the inside of a peach. Now, I love Guinness (I know, not a craft beer), stouts, porters, bocks, etc.
I have been to many breweries all over the southeast. I’ve tried a lot of of different craft beers. I’m currently working on my first saucer at Flying Saucer (I still have about 140 to go). I hit up any craft beer event I can, including the Lexington Craft Beer Fest, Keg Fest, and theme nights at Craft and Draft. Any excuse to drink craft beer is acceptable, like Soda City Suds Week or Columbia Craft Beer Week. Really, every week is craft beer week as far as I’m concerned.
I’ve learned a lot about the different styles, flavors, breweries, etc. My husband started drinking craft beer before me, and I think I know more now than he does!
My favorite brewery is Legal Remedy out of Rock Hill, SC, but I like a lot of different craft beers. Favorites include 10 Barrel Brewing’s Cucumber Crush Sour, Legal Remedy’s World Court Mocha Blonde Stout, DuClaw’s Sweet Baby Jesus! Porter, Well’s Sticky Toffee Pudding ale, Twisted Spur’s Lemongrass Kolsch, Swamp Cabbage’s Dunkelweizen, River Rat’s Vanilla Porter, etc and so forth. The list goes on.
As you can see, I am all over the place with the style of beer I like. Ales to Porters, Sours to Stouts. I’m not a huge fan of IPAs, but if it’s not hop-forward or bitter, I can enjoy a sample of an IPA. Here is a website with a great list of beer styles if you need some help:

I’ll leave you with this Hopumentary to learn about craft beer in America. Cheers!
