The LRADAC Foundation wants everyone to know that Rock 4 Recovery is more than a good time – it’s a rock concert that helps ensure recovery from substance misuse is available for anyone who needs it in Richland and Lexington Counties. Presented by Dominion Energy and sponsored by the LRADAC Foundation, this year’s Rock 4 Recovery features headliner act Revisiting Creedence, a Creedence Clearwater Revival legacy band, taking place Friday, Sept. 23, 5:30 – 10 pm at the Icehouse Amphitheater, 107 W Main St. in downtown Lexington.

Led by vocalist Dan McGuinness and guitarist Kurt Griffey, Revisiting Creedence has performed over the past decade with Creedence Clearwater Revival founding members Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford’s touring project, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and they will rock CCR’s iconic catalog at Rock 4 Recovery with such hits as “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on The Corner,” “Born on The Bayou,” “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary,” and “Susie Q.”

“A rare opportunity to raise awareness about the power and healing of recovery from substance misuse.”

     – Amy Reeves

“Rock 4 Recovery not only raises money for recovery resources, it’s one of the only substance-free rock concerts in the Midlands that offers a safe place for people in recovery and their friends and family to have a rocking night out on the town,” said Amy Reeves, LRADAC Foundation Chair. “This is a rare opportunity to raise awareness about the power and healing of recovery from substance misuse while also raising funds to support people who are uninsured or in financial distress so they can fully participate in recovery services for themselves and their families.”

The night kicks off at 5: 30 pm with legendary Columbia DJ Prince Ice spinning old-school party hits from the 1970s, 80s and 90s – the perfect musical backdrop for carousing the local food, dessert and merchandise trucks arena. This year’s line-up features Nothing Bundt Cakes, Cox Family Barbecue, Karen’s Mobile Kitchen, Truly Scrumptious Creamery, Good Life Café, and Open Door Scrubs mobile boutique selling scrubs, accessories, and footwear. In addition, LRADAC will have substance misuse counselors on site to discuss LRADAC’s treatment options and answer any questions.

“Dominion Energy is honored to once again be the presenting sponsor of Rock 4 Recovery, a special concert that helps support the LRADAC Foundation and the life-changing and often lifesaving work they do to keep families and communities together,” said Keller Kissam, president of Dominion Energy South Carolina. “With the success of previous Rock 4 Recovery concerts, the LRADAC Foundation has provided countless services over the past three years to help families and individuals enter recovery who were unable to do so on their own.”

Tickets for Rock 4 Recovery are $25 and available at rock4recovery22.eventbrite.com. For more information about the LRADAC Foundation and Rock for Recovery, visit www.lradac.org/foundation.
