Ozzy Osbourne Inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Star-Studded Lineup

On Saturday night, October 19th, Ozzy Osbourne had a monumental moment as he was officially inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The ceremony featured a wildly entertaining speech by none other than Jack Black, who delivered an animated and hilarious tribute to the legendary rocker. Black’s enthusiasm was palpable, with his face turning beet red as he passionately shouted Ozzy’s numerous achievements, making it one of the standout speeches in Rock Hall history.

Sitting in a massive leather chair adorned with a bat design, the Prince of Darkness himself took the stage for a brief but heartfelt speech. He paid tribute to his late guitarist, Randy Rhoads, and expressed his love for his wife, Sharon.

The night continued with a star-studded musical performance. Tool’s Maynard James Keenan kicked off the tribute by singing “Crazy Train” with Wolfgang Van Halen handling lead guitar. They were joined by an impressive backing band that included Chad Smith on drums, Robert Trujillo on bass, Andrew Watt on rhythm guitar, and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.

Next up, Jelly Roll and Zakk Wylde delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” with Wylde putting on a show as he shredded his guitar. The performance seamlessly transitioned into “No More Tears,” fronted by Billy Idol. Wylde even ventured into the audience during his solo, all while Ozzy and Jack Black watched from the side, mouthing the lyrics in unison.

This segment of the ceremony, coming nearly four hours into the event, was undoubtedly a highlight. It brought a much-needed surge of energy after a series of lengthy speeches had drained the crowd’s enthusiasm.

This induction marks the second time Ozzy has been enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, following his 2006 induction with Black Sabbath.

The entire Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony streamed live on Disney+ and will be available for replay on Hulu.
