Ozzy Is ‘Patient Number 9’ As Music Eases His Mind
Ozzy Osbourne is back with a new album and a new single guest-starring Jeff Beck. On Friday, Ozzy premiered the album’s title track, “Patient Number 9” – which he says is “about being a patient in a mental hospital”.
“It’s no secret that the last four years have been very difficult for me but making this album took my mind off of my problems”

The album will be loaded with famous guest stars, including Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi, Eric Clapton, Chad Smith, Robert Trujillo, Mike McCready, and late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Osbourne is discussing his recent health issues. The Prince of Darkness said making the album helped his with his mental health, “My last album was released just a few weeks before the pandemic started, and I was just about getting ready to go into the studio to work on this new one when the world shut down. It’s no secret that the last four years have been very difficult for me but making this album took my mind off of my problems.”
Ozzy is currently recovering after undergoing major surgery on his neck and back last week.
Patient Number 9 is due out later this year. Will this be Ozzy’s final album? What guest star are you most excited to hear?
