It’s the little things you don’t think about that get affected in a government shutdown.

The big stuff you see.  National Parks are closed…Food Safety is affected, but beer…It’s one of those things you just don’t figure.

Trouble is brewing as the partial US Government shutdown has hit the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

Never heard of them?  Yeah me either, but they are the people that have to approve labeling for bottles and since their not working there is a backlog.

We’re talking 3,000 weekly applications piling up and that will hit distillers and brewers pretty hard on distributing spring ales and new products.

The Brewers Association estimates that half of American Craft Brewers will have at least one new beer delayed.

So…It’s draft while we wait for Washington.

Everybody’s got to believe in something. I believe I’ll have another beer.
