The Foo Fighters have continued their 2019 barrage of numbered EPs, dropping another surprise release Friday.
The EP, with the easy-to-remember name of ‘01020225’, includes two original songs along with two covers – a version of the Psychedelic Furs’ “Sister Europe” and a live cover of the B-52’s “Planet Claire” from 2002, featuring an appearance by B-52’s frontman Fred Schneider.
It’s the Foo’s sixth surprise EP of 2019 and third since mid-September. Recently, drummer Taylor Hawkins said the band would be hitting the studio to work on a proper album soon.
