2.  The Boogeyman  (PG-13)  Trailer

It’s based on the 1973 short story by Stephen King.

A therapist named Will Harper (Chris Messina from “The Mindy Project”) and his two daughters are grieving the loss of their mother.  They’re played by Sophie Thatcher from “Yellowjackets” and Vivien Lyra Blair, who was young Princess Leia in the Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.

When a patient (David Dastmalchian from “The Suicide Squad”) shows up unexpectedly to their house to seek Will’s help, he brings along an evil entity that feeds on the Harper family’s suffering.

(It was originally supposed to go straight to Hulu, but after positive test screenings, including WITH Stephen King, Disney decided to put it in theaters.  Yep, Disney, since they own 20th Century Studios now.)
