Mosh of the Mash-ups

A mash-up is defined as “something created by combining elements from two or more sources to create a new element.” But let’s get real people, a true mash-up is when two songs collide that have very little in common but somehow sound great when mashed together.

The recent release of the Metallica/Huey Lewis and the News mash-up ” Hip To Be The Sandman”, put me in YouTube search mode to find a few more of these nuggets. After a not so exhaustive search, my conclusion is that Bill McClintock is indeed the master of mash-ups. Not only did he do a killer job on “Hip To Be The Sandman”, but his other mash-ups are a cut above anything else I have ever heard.
