KISS Played Unmasked at Ace Frehley’s 1976 Wedding

Imagine attending a wedding in 1976 and seeing the groom’s friends jump on-stage to jam out a few songs and thinking, “Wow this kinda sounds like KISS!”  Then having it turn out that . . . IT WAS.

That’s exactly what happened at Ace Frehley’s wedding in 1976.  And as far as anyone knows, it’s the earliest recording of them performing without their makeup. Even though the recovered 8mm film is dark, you can see Paul Stanley and Gene Simmon’s smiling faces.

The band performed their recently released single, “Rock and Roll All Nite” . . . and gave a sneak peek of “Shout It Out Loud”, which hadn’t come out yet.
