Current Queen frontman Adam Lambert admits that, like a lot of 90’s kids, he first became aware of Queen’s music not from their albums, but from the 1992 movie ‘Wayne’s World.’

In the recent ABC documentary The Show Must Go On, Lambert said he was 10 years old when he saw the movie and its famous head-banging “Bohemian Rhapsody” scene.  After seeing the movie, his dad shared some of his old Queen records.

Recently, Lambert says he has no plans to record any new music with Queen, saying “to me, Queen is Freddie”.

While I agree, I think Adam is doing a great job as frontman. And I will admit: I had heard Queen songs before, but never really knew who they were until I saw ‘Wayne’s World.’ Then, like Adam, I wanted to discover everything Queen, which led me to purchasing all of their greatest hits albums. The rest, as they say, is history!
