Residents in more than 50 Virginia homes woke up Sunday to find old TVs on their front porches. As if that isn’t strange enough, a check of security footage revealed they were delivered by someone wearing a TV on his head.
“We got an old tube-style TV, 13 inch,” says Hampshire resident Jim Brooksbank. “He wants to be known as the TV Santa Claus. I don’t know.” Another resident, Michael Kroll, says, “I thought my son brought it home, but apparently not. They had way too much time on their hands if they had all these TVs and spread them all over the neighborhood.” Surely it must have taken some time, too. In all cases, video doorbell footage shows the deliverer walking slowly, apparently attempting to balance the heavy TV on his head.
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time this has happened in the area. In August 2018, someone delivered TVs to a number of homes in neighboring Glen Allen, police say.
Where in the heck are they getting these ancient things, and WHY? Hey guys, I’m all set. Don’t show up on my doorstep looking all creepy leaving your stone-aged crap on my porch. Unless you’re Amazon, don’t leave anything on my porch!
