Military Appreciation Month

If you don’t know, my husband is active-duty Navy, so I always ask about military discounts, because sometimes you don’t know if it’s offered, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Some places don’t, but they’ll still give you one anyway, or use a coupon, which is so nice.

If you’re a current member of the military or a veteran, thank you for your service. And to give back, many nationwide restaurants, retail stores, and theme parks would like to offer you discounts throughout May in celebration of Military Appreciation Month.

Costco will give those in the armed forces and their families $60 in savings when signing up as a member, while Chuck E. Cheese has eat-and-play coupons available for those with Military ID.

Save 10 percent at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Yankee Candle, Zappos, Sherwin-Williams, and Westgate Resorts.

Your money is no good at LEGOLAND, where active duty, veterans, reserve military members and their family get free admission. Seaworld and Busch Gardens also have discounted tickets.
