“Bohemian Rhapsody” by QUEEN is one of those rare songs that no other band should ever try to cover.  It’s just too perfect and too singular to the original band’s sound.

But if anyone can do it, THE WIGGLES can.  I know you think I’m joking, but the thing is, they ALREADY DID.  And you can listen to it now on YouTube!!!  It’s part of a new covers album coming out next March called “ReWiggled”.

There are two parts to the album.  First, it’s got a bunch of other artists . . . nobody major though . . . covering classic Wiggles jams like “D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. (My Favorite Dinosaur)”, “Apples and Bananas”, and “Do the Propeller”.

The other half is the Wiggles doing covers of other people’s tracks.  In addition to “Rhapsody”, they do “Umbrella” by Rihanna, “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim, “Elephant” by Tame Impala, and AC/DC’s”Thunderstruck”.  (???)

(Check out the full track list here.  And here’s another single, “Pub Feed“, originally by The Chats.  It kinda rocks.)
