Charlie Watts Is Dropping Out of the Rolling Stones’ Tour

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts is dropping out of the band’s upcoming tour . . . and it has nothing to do with COVID-19.  As far as we know.

Charlie had an “unspecified medical procedure,” and while it was successful, he’ll need time to recuperate, and he doesn’t want the band to postpone the tour for him, especially since it was already delayed by the pandemic.

Steve Jordan . . . from Keith Richards’ side project . . . will take his place.  Rehearsals start in a couple of weeks, and the tour launches next month.  For what it’s worth, Charlie turned 80 in June.
