Solo: A New Trailer

If you’re a Star Wars nerd, there has been a lot of concern in the Star Wars universe.  I was not a big fan of “The Last Jedi” and there has been a lot of issues with the new Solo movie.   Rumors have swirled that the production has been a nightmare.  Apparently, the actor playing a young Han sucks at acting.   “the company also brought on an acting coach for its star Alden Ehrenreich, who plays young Han Solo, a rarity this late in a production.”  Ugh.  Not good.  I still don’t know what to think of him.  Sure he “kinda” looks like a young Han, but in the first trailer, it fell a little flat.  And he doesn’t have the Han “why did I even get up and put my pants on today” disconnected sound to his voice.

Also this bomb:

“Disney is bracing themselves for the Han Solo movie to bomb. They were worried about it before all The Last Jedicontroversy, but now they’re essentially writing Solo off. The lead actor, Alden Ehrenreich, can’t act, and they had a dialogue coach on hand for all of his scenes. On top of that, the script is unworkable. It’s going to be a car crash.”

Yikes.  I am trying to stay positive here.

Well, they have called in Ron Howard.   So that’s a good thing.  The second trailer feels a little better.  More Lando.  More Chewie.  Also, I think we finally see why Chewie owed Han a “life debt.”  Sooooo, good right?

I am going to stay positive.   The same thing happened with Rogue One when it was filming and I loved it.  Just please let me know that they “Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold.”  He deserves to be if it’s this bad.

Solo hits theaters May 25th.
